Meopham Valley Vineyard
David and Pauline Grey set up Meopham Valley Vineyard in 1991 with the advice of Gillian Pearkes, an authority on grape growing in England. After a lot of searching a site came up for auction on the North Downs of Kent which seemed a suitable terroir for two of the champagne vine varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The two hectare Kentish vineyard grows a wide variety of grapes that respond well to the local climate. No herbicides or pesticides are used at the vineyard.
Meopham Valley Vineyard's English White, Rosé and Sparkling wines have won numerous awards in local, national and international wine competitions.
In November 2014 David and Pauline retired from the vineyard but the wine which was grown in Meopham up until the 2014 Harvest can still be purchased on line from this website or by telephoning 01608 684560. Waitrose still continue to sell our Sparkling Rosé of 2012 on line and in some of their stores local to the vineyard. They are also selling our 2013 and 2014 Still Rosé in many of their stores - see Where You Can Buy under "Our Wines".
A Harvest Lunch
