Welcome to Meopham Valley Vineyard!

Meopham Valley Vineyard

The two hectare vineyard grows a substantial range of grapes and makes English White, Red, Rosé and sparkling wines.

David and Pauline Grey set up Meopham Valley Vineyard in 1991 with the advice of Gillian Pearkes, an authority on grape growing in England.

Meopham wines have done extremely well in local and national competitions and have won numerous awards of which the following are the most recent.

IMBIBE ON-TRADE DRINKS MAGAZINE MARCH/APRIL 2010

Both of the Meopham Sparkling wines, 2004 and 2005 went before a judging panel of Sommeliers together with other producers of English Sparkling wine. Our wines were well received with the Sparkling Rosé being included in the "Top Five for Food".
Of the Sparkling Rosé two Sommeliers commented "Closed herbaceous nose, with pretty fresh strawberry and raspberry fruit on the palate. Good minerality." "The versatile Rosé for foodies, thinking of chicken dishes, schnitzel or stuffed squid with chorizo, sorbets and sherbets."

DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARDS 2010

The 2005 Sparkling Rosé and the 2004 Sparkling Brut were awarded Bronze Medals. The results wil be published in the October 2010 issue of Decanter (on sale early September).
